Training at Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo was my first foray into studying a martial art, and after a little over two years, I feel like I definitely made the right choice.

Over the years, I look back to my first visit to the dojo- how it was very clear to me from the beginning why this was the right choice for me. This dojo has been a key in the evolution of my thoughts, perceptions, and ability to adapt in more than just physical implications. I am thankful for the opportunities this dojo has given me. I am grateful to call this dojo my second home.

The Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo is a welcoming community of students and instructors under the tutelage of one of the most experienced practitioners in the world.

In the most critical and dangerous seconds of my life, my training with the Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo helped me to think with clarity and act decisively.

The instructors at ABD do an excellent job of breaking down complex moves and concepts into very detailed movement. Their commitment to teaching self-awareness, self-defense, and safety carries over outside of the dojo. Training at this dojo is truly enjoyable and not like other dojos. The atmosphere is relaxed but still traditional. Dojo members are like family, no one is a stranger.

The original Bujinkan school in the western hemisphere with excellent instructors and a very detailed curriculum. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic martial arts.

It’s a good group of folks made of people from all walks of life. They treat self-defense like a serious topic, and focus on realistic methods of keeping oneself and one’s loved ones safe.

ABD has been a central aspect of my life for years now. The training is amongst the best outside of Japan, but moreover, the people are great. Everyone is there to lift everyone else and make each other better. Each person checks their egos at the door and knows we are all on our own path. Some skills may be easier for some than others, and the reverse will certainly be true.

Having been involved in martial arts for nearly 40 years, I have found that if you want to learn how to get home safely to your family every night, there are only a few arts out there designed to do that vs being a sport. Life is not a sport nor are the streets.

Fantastic class and knowledge of the Ninjutsu art. You’ll not be disappointed! Everyone in class participates in knowledge of base elements, hands on training with one another, and instructors TEACH individual instruction to those needing assistance in the understanding of the techniques! I LOVE this art!

I’ve been studying martial arts since I was 5 years old. I started the Bujinkan with a friend interested in self defense, but I quickly fell in love with an art unlike any I had ever practiced. The Bujinkan offers a holistic approach to cultivating the martial spirit. Regardless of speed and power (there will always be someone stronger and faster), we learn how to defend ourselves and get home safe. But the art doesn’t stop at physical movements. We train in first aid, outdoor survival, as well as emotional, mental, and energetic regulation. The Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo is one of THE best places in the world to learn authentic Ninjutsu outside of Japan. I highly recommend. Anyone who can make the commitment will find the rewards are immeasurable.
