About The School:

Our martial art is a lot more than just punching, kicking, weapons, etc. While we do put in lots of training ‘on the mat’ and in the dojo, and that is our main focus, we also believe that real-world experience and a variety of skills are valuable to have too. From defending against a physical attack, to awareness of your surroundings, to outdoor skills & first aid, to staying safe online – there are many types of self-protection in today’s world. And we strive to be as prepared as possible to handle whatever life sends our way.

About The Instructor:

Daishihan Roy Wilkinson is a martial arts veteran of over 40 years, studying Samurai and Ninja arts, and is one of the most senior Master Instructors in the Bujinkan outside of Japan. A direct student of the Grandmaster, he is the Chief Instructor for the Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo, and has received numerous martial arts awards & recognition. He was featured in the groundbreaking documentary on Ninjutsu: ‘Heart, Sword, Perseverance’.

About Us: Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo

Established in the 1970s, the Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo is the first school in the Western Hemisphere for the exceptional martial art of Ninjutsu. The art is appropriate for all ages and is practical and versatile, incorporating striking, grappling, and a variety of weapons, as well as physical skills like balance, coordination, & various types of movement, and non-physical skills like mental discipline, philosophy, meditation & awareness.

Our school has a long-standing legacy & strong reputation for quality training & great camaraderie. This is not a ‘sport’ or competitive program, or your average martial art. It’s pretty special. 🙂

We’re now accepting new students at our Sandy Springs location. Training is open to adults 18+, or with our youth program, from 12-17 (with parent permission) For more info about the art or the school, please see our About Us page. We also have a short overview video available available, along with recommendations from others.
