Training is just part of our regular schedule! Throughout the year we host multiple events and seminars and have regularly scheduled group activities.
Instructors and students alike regularly travel to Japan to train with Hatsumi Soke as well as his senior instructors.
We also organize and host the US TaiKai, which brings together senior instructors from around the world for several days of high-quality training. (Tai Kai USA) We have hosted several Kunoichi Kai seminars, which are specifically focused on women’s training. In addition to these regular events, we also host seminars that have both local and international senior instructors teaching together.
Shihan Wilkinson is also regularly invited to teach seminars and as a guest instructor at dojo around the world.
We represent our art through demonstrations, including the premier Japanese cultural event in the southeast, Japan Fest, each September. We have also presented demonstrations and educational sessions at other events, such as DragonCon, Momocon, and the Japan Arts Festival.
The dojo also has an annual group camping trip each Fall.
We wrap the year up in December, with our Daikomyosai celebration, open to the community, that involves both a year-end seminar and dinner.
