Dojo Cookout/Tai Kai Meeting Update

The dojo cookout/Tai Kai USA meeting has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 1, 2017. It will start around 11:00 a.m. at the dojo with set up and run until it’s done. We will have food, fun and games, and then a meeting with everyone involved with Tai Kai (committee, staff and volunteers).

There will be no training on this date.

The cookout will be pot luck and everyone at the dojo is invited and encouraged to attend. You can bring a significant other if you wish, but please do not bring any children (we tried that before and it didn’t work out to well).
There will be a sign up sheet posted at the dojo to let us know if you’ll be there and what dishes/items you will be bringing.

If you have any dietary restrictions please let us know.

Hope to see you all there.

Update from TaiKai USA

TaiKai USA Update:  Hello Everyone!

We received word that Nagato Sensei will not be able to come for the US TaiKai this year after all, due to a critical family illness. Nagato Sensei said he would like to come to Atlanta in the future when conditions don’t prevent him. We will follow up with him on that once they are through this difficult time.

Never fear, though, the TaiKai will still go on, as originally planned. The 15th Dan Instructors who were scheduled to teach and stepped aside for Nagato Sensei will again resume teaching duties, and we’ll bring you the same top quality training as every year, with Soke’s blessing & support.

We apologize for the change in plans, but these circumstances are beyond anyone’s control. We hope you understand, and join us in wishing the best of luck to Nagato Sensei and his family as they are faced with this rough ordeal.

We hope you will be able to join us! It’s always great training and a good time too!

Quick Links:

As you know, we had to increase the TaiKai attendance fee to cover the additional cost of bringing Nagato Sensei over. With this news and switching back to the original plan, we will also be switching back to the original price. (165 for Pre-Registration)
>> If you registered for the TaiKai earlier, you should have received an email with information and instructions on adjustment.

Again, we thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we all adjust to these new circumstances.

Nagato Sensei is coming to Tai Kai USA 2017!

Big Bujinkan News!

Nagato Sensei is coming to America this July for the 2017 US TaiKai!

Nagato Sensei is well-known to Bujinkan members. He is one of the top Japanese Shihan, or Master Instructors, and has been training in the Bujinkan for over 40 years. He teaches regularly at the Hombu Dojo in Japan, and at his own training. Nagato Shihan is incredibly smooth, skilled, and last but certainly not least, effective.

This will be the first time Soke has allowed one of the senior Japanese to teach outside Japan since he stopped traveling. As the organizer of the US TaiKai, the Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo is honored that Hatsumi Soke has entrusted us with hosting Nagato Sensei for this historic event. This is pretty special, and we hope you can join us!
